Summary
This is the email I sent to be members and it captures the essence of how we felt about the meeting at Jan’s house and being to say thank you to Margaret and Graham.
Dear friends,
I am sure we all agree that the meeting held at Jan’s house on 22/01/23 was a very special one.
I will start with thank yous.
A big thank you to Jan for hosting and making us all feel so welcome and comfortable in her home.
The planning part of the meeting was quickly finished with the diary full of hosts for next year so thanks to all our lovely hosts ( the dates & venues have been sent out).
Also you to everyone for your delicious food and drink contributions. We dined in style as per Piano Club tradition!
We heard a very varied selection of pieces being played which were thoroughly enjoyed by all – so thank you to everyone that played.
The very special part of this meeting was the thank you and presentation to Graham and Margaret of card and gifts in recognition of everything they have both done since taking over the running of the club 5/6 years ago.
We have all benefitted in so many ways from their leadership and now they can sit back and relax for a well deserved rest.
Finally a thank you from me for all your encouragement and support since taking over from Graham and Margaret – they will be a hard act to follow, but I’ll do my best.
Looking forward to an exciting musical year ahead.
